We have tried to run the report only for patients ever admitted in the ICU or HDU. Filter Question : At ANY time during hospitalisation, did the patient receive/undergo: ICU or High Dependency Unit admission? = YES
When I filtered the data in the redcap database, there were 189 individuals ever admitted to ICU or HDU. However, when I run the total data, the summary report reads “227 patients were admitted at some point into an intensive care unit (ICU) or high dependency unit (HDU).” I am confused why ICU admission number in the redcap database is not matching with the number in the report.
Similar to this, I run the report for ICU admitted + lab confirmed COVID positive cases. In the Redcap database, there were 141 cases which are laboratory-confirmed for COVID-2019/SARS-CoV2 and admitted in ICU. When I run the report on this data, the summary section reads “SARS-COV-2 infection has been confirmed by laboratory testing in 70 of these individuals. 68 individuals are recorded as suspected of SARS-COV-2 infection, without laboratory confirmation at the time of data analysis.” It is confusing why the report says only 70 are confirmed by laboratory testing even though we have run the report on all 141 lab confirmed cases!
Would you please help me to solve this discrepancy?
