The latest build with heasoft 6.33 seems not to have xspec, as it can be seen here:

any ideas?

i am trying to work on this, but I am struggling with repositories for CentOS7 and also AlmaLinux9.

The problem is that pyspec module was not found/built, probably due to some different requirements in heasoft
