GUI: Create revised architecture to exploit Eclipse extensions #1107

This issues arises from: #1036 As a developer, I want to the IBEX GUI to use Eclipse extensions, so that I can create a more flexible, configurable application. For example, I want to be able to configure the GUI to use different dashboards and/or block view (or indeed no dashboard or block view at all).

Acceptance Criteria
  1. Updated IBEX GUI architecture document, showing how configurable features of the GUI can be implemented as Eclipse extensions.
    Notes
  2. Candidates for configurable items are:
    1. Dashboard view
    2. Blocks view
    3. "Spangle Banner"
  3. The IBEX GUI architecture document should identify any other views that might be candidates for implementation as Eclipse extensions.
  4. New issues will be created to manage the implementation of each view as an Eclipse extension.

Given the plans in relation to the future of the GUI this ticket should not be considered further.
