GUI: Scripting Console usability issue #1169

In the Ibex GUI, in the Scripting view, I can open multiple Console tabs using the menu buttons on the right. These appear to be exact clones of one another (i.e. executing a command in one shows the output on the others too; terminating one will terminate the others too).

Is this the intended behaviour? Without prior knowledge, I would have expected them to be separate consoles.

Also, once I have many Console tabs open, how do I close them? I can right-click on each tab, but the "Close" item on the Context menu is disabled.

PS. Is this view going to disappear once we switch to Nicos? In that case it's probably not worth fixing
