MERLIN: Oscillating Radial Collimator (LET) #2598

As an instrument scientist, I want to control LET's Oscillating Radial Collimator (which will be temporarily installed on MERLIN).

Acceptance Criteria

  1. I can start/stop the Oscillating Radial Collimator from the IBEX GUI.
  2. I can start/stop the Oscillating Radial Collimator from a genie_python script.
  3. Control of the Oscillating Radial Collimator is available from 11th October 2017 to the end of Cycle 2017/02.

Notes

  1. MERLIN is "borrowing" the oscillating radial collimator from LET.
  2. LET's Oscillating Radial Collimator is controlled by a Galil (a special program is downloaded into the Galil controller).
  3. Need to ask MERLIN scientists to confirm that they have a spare Galil port.
