Julabo: confirm flow control

A recent issue on ZOOM required enabling software flow control on both the julabo and the ioc to get it to talk. The julabo was previously set to hardware flow control (no option for none) and it had been working. The MOXA had been changed recently, so maybe the new moxa was handling "N" to ibex flow control differently. Setting crtscts to "N" in the IOC should tell the device to always send.

What are other julabos using as RS232 flow control
Does setting hardware flow control (crtscts) to "Y" in ibex work?
what should we use in future - software or hardware control? Ideally the same everywhere

It might be that the original MOXA port was set specifically to default to hardware flow control (with saved settings). Sadly the MOXA is now reset and in my office so I can’t tell. Does anyone else remember? Clearly better to set things explicitly as we (bizarrely) don’t seem to have a method of “Save/Restore” to a file for MOXA settings.

The only time I have ever set a moxa setting directly is for 232/422 – so that is highly unlikely.
