North Muons: Readings from Bartington #5398

As a user on the North Side Muon Instruments, I want to be able to read the field strengths read by the Bartington probe.

Acceptance Criteria

  1. There is an OPI which displays the X, Y, and Z values read from the Bartington

Notes

  1. More details are at https://github.com/ISISComputingGroup/ibex_developers_manual/wiki/Bartington
  2. Summary - the is a NI DAQmx read value that needs to be multiplied by a calibration factor to provide a field value
  3. This is likely to need some configurations, a calc record or three and an OPI
  4. We may need to investigate getting appropriate cables made to connect the device to the DAQ card

This needs the hardware available, so is not possible to achieve enough useful work whilst working from home. However, when on site we are welcome to borrow the sensor etc. from AB, the IS. The DAQ cards (and chassis) have been purchased, and are also on site.

This got derailed by the pandemic, the items are available, and we should be able to use existing IBEX code to get these working during migration, we need to verify what the plan is with AB for these items.
