POLREF: Printing a large array killed the console

As an instrument scientist on POLREF I would like to be able to print large arrays in my python console.

Running g.get_pv(“IN:POLREF:DAE:AD1:image1:ArrayData”) doesn't kill the console

This will enable POLREF scientists to play around with the data and develop their scripts
POLREF could use a test machine for this purpose
Not urgent but needed to develop automated scanning and make it responsive to intermediate results

It didn't kill a genie_python.bat genie - is pydev doing something funny?

I've spent about 15/20 minutes trying to reproduce this and can't. I'll drop an email to the scientists about it.
