Create a virtual instrument machine for IMAT #762

Create a virtual instrument machine for IMAT

As a systems support person I want to provision a virtual instrument control machine for the new instrument IMAT. The machine will be named NDXIMAT and will be the instrument control machine for the new IMAT instrument.

Acceptance Criteria

  1. The machine will be configured to the same standards as the other NDX instrument control machines.
  2. The machine will be allocated addresses and fully provisioned so it can be used in R80 and can if necessary be used to perform all instrument control functions. It will be ready for the EPICS system to be installed on it.

    Notes

  3. The clone will ideally be based on a clean NDX clone, probably the V3.2 Windows 7 clone and brought up to date with patches.
  4. Documentation of the details will need to be updated in the ISIS instrument controls sharepoint site <http://www.facilities.rl.ac.uk/isis/computing/instruments/Lists/Instrument%20Control%20Computers/Instrument%20Computers%20datasheet.aspx>__
