While reviewing the policy in 2024 a comment was made by Abigail McBirnie regarding how changes in the policy are communicated to those who would be affected and what time scales are given for people to react to changes.

Suggestions were:

raise at ILT/user meetings
publish an article on the ISIS website
communication via the user office
