white page is being displayed before transition to statistics of featured content #215

Current Behavior: When we click the on the statistics icon of the landing view we see see for a short while a white page and then the transition to statistics view take place. Desired Behavior: When we click on the statistics icon of the featured content in the landing view the rotating of the icon should take place before we land to the statistics view.

This seems to be related when the user has no data in the statistics. (?)
