Hi, thought you all would want to know about this just completed project. This is an ITHIM Excel spreadsheet implementation led by William Nicholas in the Health Impact Assessment Unit of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. The project evaluated a mobility plan by the City of Los Angeles’ transportation agency (Metro). The assessment includes air pollution (with modeling assistance from the South Coast Air Quality Management District), carbon emissions, and monetized health costs. Nicholas Linesch and I contributed to the project.

Also of interest, the Center for Climate Change and Health, where I work part-time, adapted the population downsizer in regional California spreadsheet versions of ITHIM to estimate health co-benefits of the US Surgeon General scenario for California state legislative districts (each roughly 500,000 population). This analysis was part of a briefing document on climate change, health, and equity intended for California legislators.
