Woud be nice to add VS Code into the jupyter-dakota service. Nothing special needed aside from a few extensions:

Something to keep in mind, suggested by @colinRawlings: "I am not sure if it is still a problem but a while back some of the ms-* extensions were effected by this issue when running in code-server: https://github.com/coder/code-server/issues/1938"
