Dear Mr, Mrs,

I am trying to import a After selecting the view I want to import and clicking [v] auto match shapes checks, I click OK. Then I get following error: an error occurred (See screenshot below) Unfortunately, I don't see any info on what version of Archimate or Visio-archimate-shapes is supported by your plugin.

Many thanks in advance for your time!

Kind regards, Paul de Waal

I am using from Archi, version 4.10.0 and importing in MS Visio Plan 2 image

Sorry Paul, I don't monitor this as regularly as I should. Not sure what the issue is and might need a version of a 4.10 export that fails to track down the issue. I current run 4.9 of Archi, so it could be something changed in the format, but is more likely some scenario in the specific data file. If the original doesn't have sensitive data then you could email directly to ITWorkingSolutions@gmail.com, or if it is sensitive then if you could reproduce with a separate demo repo using v4.10 Archi that would be handy. Thanks

Ok Paul I jumped to latest version 5.0.2 of Archi and did an export and import in Visio and everything works fine. Your visio version is on the same plan I'm run. I am guessing it is something quirky about the specific test view. Happy to have a look but will need the specific archimate open exchange file to test. FYI it is based on archimate 3.x format, I don't check the version of the xsd just that it is archimate on the basis a version upgrade may not break anything as I only parse specific nodes. Thanks

Hi Aaron,

Thanks for your reply. I did not find the time, to respond sooner. If have upgraded my Archi to 5.0.2 as well. I have exported a very simple example Diagram, which I will attach to this ticket.

The Visio instances has not changed, since my first issue description. Unfortunately, I get the same error message. I have tried different Archimate Symbol sets (called stencils in Visio), but it keeps throwing the same error.

Hi Paul, sorry for the very long gap. I download and ran the import against your test file. It works fine, which means it must be something else. Since the add-in is built using dot net core it could be something there but just a guess. SDK it was built with was Version 7 image
