New version of 'The Chymistry of Isaac Newton', using XProc pipelines to generate a website based on TEI XML encodings of Newton's alchemical manuscripts, and Apache Solr as a search engine.
Newton occasionally inserts a line of text between two other lines that was meant not to be inserted (with a caret perhaps) into one of them, but between them.
On line 428 of the xml, we used an \<add place="inline"> to mark Newton's insertion of a long clause and a sentence. Search for If you check the page image, you can see that he inserted a line after the following line had already been written.
The editorial decision was to use a smaller font with / and in this case it seems appropriate.
