Z button malfunction on Wavebird controller

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use a Wavebird GC controller
2. load any rom
3. try to use Z button to show the menu

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Menu won't show up, however by holding the D-pad in any direction an then 
pressing Z works

What version of the emulator are you using (official, SVN revision,...)?
genplus-gx-1.5.0 Last stable binary release

Please provide any additional information below (Video settings, Console
region,...)
Wii 4.0u , official Nintendo Wavebird controller

yes, this is expected, you should read the user manual or changelogs.

Z is not used alone anymore for MENU because it can now be mapped to MODE 
button (some people requested this)

To access MENU with a gamecube controller, you indeed need to press DPAD+Z now

Thanks for answering so fast, I didn't saw it anywhere in the manual, but 
still, I haven't read changelogs.
