I've been wondering about this myself since I first downloaded it, but thought
it was a problem with my SD as well...

Yes, i know that (see GettingStarted comments). It's a stupid mistake i made
with & character, replacing it with proper xml character (or simply discarding
it) should fix it.

It's just a matter of editing the .xml file with notepad, you could actually
fix it yourself easily without having to wait for next version.

Not really, '&' is a special character in xml, should apparently be replaced by
&

The & between Genesis and Sega CD, correct? Wasn't working for me as well.
I'll try ", and" where the "&" goes.
