Sonic 2 ring sounds #281

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.- sometimes, anywhere in the game, when you grab fast 2 or more rings, the 
ring sound is played just once instead of two or more times

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
More ring sounds instead of just one

What version of the emulator are you using (official, SVN revision,...)?
1.7.0 official

Please provide any additional information below (Emulator settings, Console
setting,...)

NTSC Wii 4.3u

Audio

Master System FM: AUTO
High-Quality FM: ON
FM Roll-off: 99.90%
FM Resolution: MAX
FM Volume 1.00
PSG Volume 1.00
PSG Noise Boost: OFF
Filtering: OFF

I hope this issue can be addressed :)

And 99% of the time, it works as expected, right ?

There is nothing special with the ring sound to emulate so i doubt there is any 
"issues" here, probably also happen "sometime" on real hardware under specific 
conditions.

not really... I would say that 70% works as not expected. tried turning off HQ 
FM, and it goes a little better but it sounds like if I grabbed 2 rings when im 
catching like 6

Wait, i think i know why you got this: ring sound is sometime using stereo 
effects so if your tv does not output stereo or av cable is misconnected, it's 
normal you sometime got one of two sound.

your thoughts are correct,  I'm "forcing" stereo to mono,  so maybe that's the 
problem... I'm gonna check in another TV with stereo jacks

sorry about the late answer, but you were right, fact was that the av cable was 
screwed, i tested last night with a new one, and the emulator just ran 
flawless... awesome job and good guessing skills. Thanks
