Unified-Search not available in Toolbar (Tb Daily)

In Thunderbird Daily (29.0a1 (2014-01-30)) the Unified Search widget disappeared from my toolbar, and I don't see it in the Customize Toolbar dialog either.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the information. I checked out latest Beta (27.0) and Earlybird (28.0a2) and it works, but not on Daily, I need to see what changed of if is a temporary problem with the development version of Thunderbird.

I received 2 days ago a notification from other user commenting this too, and he said that I suppose this has got something to do with the new Australis theme, I will check this since can be an important internal change on TB, and its very recent one.

I will take a look when I have time but I can't promise it in short.

Hi Peter,

I uploaded a new version (0.7.3), its not on AMO still but here at github, I fixed a compatibility problem with the new TB version that a core developer communicated to me (thanks to Sebastian Hengst), tested and it works with Daily version (I tested yesterday and today builds).

You can use it downloading the version from the Releases section. Its not an installation file itself, the file compressed by github needs to be uncompressed, it contains a unique folder with the project name, just compress as zip the contents of that folder naming the new file with extension '.xpi', the result file can be installed on Thunderbird.

Or if you prefer, send me an email (iagosrl@gmail.com) and I can send you the new version already well packed for installation. Despite this manual way of install it, any newer version published in the future will be automatically installed.

It will take a time still to be uploaded to addons.mozilla.org (AMO) since I need to finish some other details for the 0.7 version (is full working, though) before upload to there (and some time more to pass the Mozilla revision).

I hope this solves the problem. On any case, let me know the problem or the success to close this ticked.
