Workouts name system: a proposal #24

Closed serrq closed 3 months ago

A proposal to avoid to "think" about names and having a name structure for workouts.

Freeletics uses Gods' names, we can using Norwegian villages' names for our workouts or what you want. If interested. Just an idea.

Workouts should having a name, so when you build a new plan you can easily assembling two, three, four, five... workouts simply fishing them from a known database.

For example:

Plan name: Two weeks strong (dumbbell) Fitness Level: •• (intermediate)

Week 1

• Monday -> Askerøya (biceps), Egge (gluteus) • Tuesday -> Feda (lats), Kapp (back) • Thursday -> Kvås (chest), Strømmen (core) • Friday -> Torp (quads), Vollen (triceps)

Week 2

(...)

And so on...

Alternatively, if you don't like villages names, we can using volcanoes' names.

Serrq I told you the app name is based on a Japanese word. So its obvious we won't be using Norwegian names.

Also this is a app for Periodisation in resistance training. And whats the point of giving exercises weird name? It would just increase the onboarding period of the application. So this is counter intuitive. I understand that you want the app to have a different character but thats not the type of app Kenko is supposed to be. The character is being strict but playful. I know the correct balance is not there yet but it will soon be there.

Only for knowledge. There is also a list of Japanese villages. They are 183 villages (names).
