Use a static website generator #25

Open xuhdev opened 8 years ago

As a maintainer, I would like to add a build tooling, such as a static website generator, to generate the FSLA meetup data, so that the future data changes can be made more quickly without editing the original HTML file.

What do you think about using Jeckyl for this purpose?

xuhdev commented 8 years ago

Don't think it's a problem :+1:

Then unless there's a compelling alternative, we'll use that. I know a guy who has some experience with Jeckyl who might be a good consultant.

😄 What exactly are you guys trying to do?

If you need a quick primer on Jekyll, Lynda.com has a decent Jekyll tutorial you can do this weekend.

Lynda.com is FREE for Los Angeles Public Library card holders. And you get the premium version, which lets you download the tutorial files and lets you download the videos for offline viewing.

If you don't have one, get one now!

Once you get it a library card, log onto Lynda.com through the LAPL Gateway.
