Connecting, but no data? #34

Hey Ian.

I messaged you on Twitter earlier today. I'm Jon Baker (@palmares).

I've bought a Polar H10 and a Google Pixel 3a (running Android 12) this week, and I've just installed Fatmaxxer.

I paired the Polar H10 to the phone, and added it as the preferred sensor in the app. Everything seems to connect, but I'm getting no data in the player. I'm assuming it simply runs, and there's no start to stop button (I can see one)?

I've attached a video below, so you can see.

What am I doing wrong, or is there a bug to fix?

Thanks, Jon

Thanks. Are you able to locate and share the debug log, using the instructions from the github page?

Hey Ian.

I'm new to Github, and Android phones so apologies for the delay. I enabled developer mode, and found 3x debug.log's and so so I attached them all below. Hope you can easily find what you need here.

Thanks again. Jon

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the video. Looking at it more closely, FatMaxxer does not seem to be able to connect to your sensor.

Can you please do the following:

  1. install Polar Beat and check that it connects to the sensor correctly
  2. use Polar Beat to configure your H10 to be in dual channel mode
  3. check if you have any other devices/apps connected to the sensor H10, e.g. your Garmin or another phone/wearable, and if so, disconnect them

Ian

FYI: with dev mode disabled, the app connects and starts automatically. When dev mode is enabled, you have to manually connect your sensor. In the above video, it seems to connect. I noticed that sometimes it takes up to 30sec before any value is displayed.
