Please provide an option to enable hinting only in Y-direction, completely 
discarbing hinting in X-direction, as described here:

http://www.antigrain.com/research/font_rasterization/index.html

In the bottom of the article above you will find demo apps showing how to do 
this with FreeType and GetGlyphOutline().
