Rendering Issue at 75% (OneNote only. Word is fine) #189

Hi

Just came across gdipp... amazing! One of the main gripes I had with Windows,
as opposed to Mac.

Anyway, my problem:

I use OneNote heavily and have strange rendering when using a zoom level of
75%. At 100% it's fine.

Curiously, Word renders fine at 75%, using the same font and font size. So I'm
not sure why this is limited to OneNote only.

I've included screenshot excerpts to illustrate this. Word at 100% and 75%,
both fine. OneNote at 100% zoom, fine. But strange at 75% zoom.

I use the same font and font size (Calibri, size 11) in all shots.

I know some people talk of certain fonts having trouble with rendering. But
here, this doesn't seem to be the issue. Word renders Calibri 11 at 75% with no
problems! As can be seen in the screenshot.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Jon

I realise the low quality jpeg doesn't help, but I had a look and the
difference is still obvious. Word ay 75% looks very readable. OneNote at 75%
clearly shows rendering issues.

One other thing I forgot to mention: I'm running XP SP3.

But if Word can render correctly at 75%, I don't see why OneNote can't - so
perhaps the OS isn't relevant?

Just realised zooming in shows pixellated text. How strange!

Does the same thing happen when using the Cleartype renderer built into Windows?
(disable gdipp first)

Thanks for your response.

No pixellation with gdipp uninstalled and using Cleartype (pic attached).

Also, I noticed gdipp renders _some_ of the elements of the OneNote window
properly: In the 2nd attachment, you can see that the coloured tabs have been
rendered correctly. It's just the actual notes text that is the issue.

Also, in the 2nd screenshot you can see that the vertical text (on the far left
side) has not been rendered by gdipp either - but I'm not sure if this is just
a limitation of gdipp.
