Golden cookie bank

I have noticed that golden cookie bank numbers are shown. Yet when i have auto buy on it ignores these numbers about 90% of the time or more. This morning i started a new ascend and i am now at 14Qi for max lucky cookie, yet my cookie bank is empty and i keep dropping to 100Qa with purchases.

There may be a reason for this that i don't understand if so please explain cause i do love all the other features this one is just confusing me.

EDIT I kept rereading the Wiki page, I think i understand now. The algorithm used is assuming a loss of CPS if it stores the bank at this point in time. So with each Ascend it will take longer for the bank to be useful compared to my increased prestige bonuses.

I was watching my game while waiting for something else to load on my second monitor. I realized i was starting to build up a bank and then i stopped during a frenzy cookie. Should it keep trying to build up the banks since this kinda killed my savings since i had almost fill bank and now i have to start all over again between frenzy cookies.

I'd like to understand too how the best bank is chosen for the next recommandation. For instance, I currently have in the recommandations panel the lucky frenzy bank with a largely positive delta cps, yet it doesn't choose to keep the lucky frenzy bank. With autobuy, it would ignore this bank as @drizzt267 said.

Moreover, I currently have enough cookies for this bank, and it's still the no bank that has the *, indicating I'm supposed to have no bank at the moment.

The choice between keeping a bank and not keeping it in autobuy is made through the efficiency column, so if keeping a bank is less efficient than purchasing buildings without keeping a bank autobuy will ignore the bank. And when you have a large number of HCs it takes a bit of time until purchasing buildings is less efficient than keeping a bank.

Ok, I understand for the bank choice. Even if lucky frenzy bank has a higher delta cps, it may have a lower efficiency because of the time needed to get it. My last question is then: when I have the lucky frenzy bank, why isn't it displayed it in the list of banks ? It looks like that the current bank isn't updated accordingly to the cookies amount, but only to the efficiency. So if lucky frenzy bank is less efficient than no bank, no bank is chosen (the little (*)); but if I currently have the luck frenzy bank in that situation, it is still the no bank that is chosen. Could you help me understand this ?

I wasn't aware that little () meant a selection of which bank you're using at the moment and I can't say I had payed attention to it, so I just started a new run to confirm it since I'm not really sure I'd ever seen that little () go from no bank to any other bank.

well the selector moved here(learned a new thing), I think what's happening is that you have enough cookies for the lucky bank but those cookies are being amassed for another purchase(like the final prism upgrade or something) then the selector won't change which bank you're at
