Wrong section, please create issues as such in the core section.
Modified attributes are broken by design in Icinga 1.x - restoring the old value does not work, etc. - #4928

That will be possible using icinga2 2.4 but unless you'll provide a patch it won't happen with 1.x.

Considering that you cannot restore attributes at runtime with Icinga 1.x and no-one is able to provide a patch, I'm therefore closing this issue as wont-fix, sorry. In case you're looking for a long term solution, consider upgrading to Icinga 2.

When a hosts have both active and passive services, doing a "Disable checks of all services" will reset active / passive state of a service defined in the configuration as passive : both active and passive become enabled. Also the Modified Attributes of the service says "active_checks_enabled"
Then simply doing a "Disable active checks of this service" will disable the active check, so back to normal The Modified Attributes of the service still says "active_checks_enabled"...
