Icinga 1.9 is slated to have a new CGI configuration variable, "set_expire_ack_by_default", a boolean designed to control whether acknowledgments are auto-expired or not by default. A suggested documetation entry for the CGI configuration follows:
Format: set_expire_ack_by_default=<0|1>
Example: set_expire_ack_by_default=1
This option controls the initial state of the "Use Expire Time:" checkbox when
acknowledging a problem. Set this to 1 to use expiry by default and 0 to not. The
default is 0 (Do not use auto-expiry). This may be overridden in the CGI dialogue.
