seems the docs (http://docs.icinga.org/latest/en/icinga-web-config.html#troubleshooting) do not include as much information as required.

• edit php.ini to set the systems timezone or
• edit icinga web xml config in etc/conf.d to set the timezone (Format: 'Europe/Berlin' and not 'GMT'
