For those who read this thread:
Don't experiment with OS images newer than bone-debian-9.3-iot-armhf-2018-01-28-4gb.img
, it won't work without a lot of modifications. Go for bone-debian-9.3-iot-armhf-2018-01-28-4gb.img
, that works "out of the box".
Hello,
I bought from you back in 2016 a Lorank gateway (nowadays it is called Larank). I had to do a fresh installation of the latest Debian on the mmc memory of the BBG. I would like to reinstall the Lorank software on it, but the instructions on the manual and on the git repo are not very clear on what to do. If I clone the repository and run ./Larank/install Larank8v1 1.2.3 obviously it doesn't work. Please help!
UPDATE:
I forgot to write that the root cause of the problem is the following error:
ERROR: BBB Release not known, no initialization possible
which is cased by the fact that the "dog tag" of the BBG seems to be different form the ones that can be found in the repo. My"$DTSHORT"
is:f91b9
Any suggestions are welcome!
ps: I know how to enable the SPI0 on this release... by adding the following to
/boot/uEnv.txt
:uboot_overlay_addr4=/lib/firmware/BB-SPIDEV0-00A0.dtbo
