"Official" Update for 1.19.4 #11

Hi,

It would be a pleasure for me to sponsor Celeste if it got an update to 1.19.4. So far, the spigot page shows compatibility up to 1.18, but in order to have it in the Earth SMP I'm modding at, a 1.19.4 compatible tag is required on Spigot.

Thanks!

I updated the plugin to 1.19.4 on my fork:

Hey sorry for missing this, been working on a lot of other projects recently and this fell to the wayside! Is Celeste not working in 1.19.4? I would've figured it was pretty update proof considering the simplicity of the code but unfortunately it has been a minute since I've been able to play Minecraft

it works fine, the only deprecation was getDescription() to get the version number in CommandCeleste.java.

That is...annoying. Thanks for looking into that, sometime this weekend I'll quickly get that fixed. I didn't realize it was not allowing people to use the plugin, I had assumed the forwards compatibility would be constant without needing to explicitly declare versions.

@IdreesInc rumor has it that Folia is getting a lot of traction. Massive Minecraft Java servers, especially the big Towny/Earth SMP ones, are starting their Folia 1.20.x journey with mild to great success. The plugins? Not so much, but some of the most used are being forked into Folia. Worth considering the challenge, since it implies a rewrite of the codebase. Would you like to embark? coins tingling
