Issue summary:
I've noticed an unusual spike in direct traffic to my website over the last few 
days. Particularly today, 8000 visits between 3am and 7am and a further 2500 
visits between 11am and 1pm. Having looked through Analytics the traffic is 
limited to Elinks (never heard of) & Firefox browsers and NetBSD, Linux and 
Windows operating systems.

Notes:
I run a French travel website.

This is happening for us too. All traffic to our sites is controlled via email 
campaigns, and the links are tagged with utm params but show up in the reports 
as direct traffic.
