Seeking guidance on choosing between COG and Chromium in terms of security concerns #596

Hi Folks,

I am working on a product that uses the imx8mm arm64-based SOC. Currently, my application uses JS code and .NET.

We are currently using the Chromium meta-chromium (chromium-ozone-wayland) layer.

Now we are at a stage where we want to migrate our solution to the WPE WebKit-based COG kiosk browser.

Here, I need suggestions regarding whether it is okay to choose this option in terms of security.

Kindly help me understand the security aspects of these browsers.
