I can neither open a root window nor install Corbeille in a distro based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS #753

I enjoy using SpaceFM very much. Thanks for building such a powerful yet easily customizable file and desktop manager.

I have two machines: Machine A and Machine B

On Machine A I'm running GalliumOS 3.0 which is based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

I installed the most recent version of SpaceFM using sudo apt-get install spacefm

On Machine A I am unable to (I cannot)...

  1. Open a root window
  2. Install Corbeille-SpaceFM

However, on Machine B

I'm running GalliumOS 2.1 which is based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

On Machine B I am able to (I can)...

  1. Open a root window
  2. Install Corbeille-SpaceFM

If you'd like, I will create a short screencast for you which will clearly demonstrate my problem.

By the way, I am using spacefm 1.0.5. Here's a screenshot of the relevant lines my terminal...

I don't need this issue resolved because and was able to open a root window and install Corbeille-SpaceFM after installing Endeavor OS, which is based on Arch Linux.
