Given the increasing amount of parchments being sent back and forth, whether via messenger or player, I think it is time we include a more convenient alternative, that happens to both give more use to lit items and be more immersive at the same time, to getting rid of parchment than having to go donate them or sell them to a vendor each time. Especially since the rot timer if you just leave them somewhere is quite long, meaning there is a high chance someone might find it and read something your character would not want them to.
To keep it simple, I would limit this to light source items found in the lights script for items that can be lit.
This means items such as torches, oil lamps, lanterns and candles would be included, both static and portable versions. While campfires wouldn't as they are not handled by the lights script. While this might break immersion a tiny bit that some fire sources can not be used, it would simply be too much work to track absolutely all fire sources across different scripts for that to seem worthwhile for a minor feature like this.

[x] Reach a staff consensus on whether this feature is wanted or if the proposal should be denied and the feature discarded
[x] Code the functionality of the feature
[x] Push the feature for testing on the development server
[x] Open testing thread and link to it in the original proposal thread
