I am using UTM VM for ROS2 (Ubuntu20.04 Arm64) right now on an apple silicon mac. I have tested nav2 packages and gazebo, everything so far so good (RTAB Map not tested yet). Theoretically, everything that can run on a Nvidia Jetson should also be compatible with UTM on an apple silicon mac.
Environment used in CS 498 Mobile Robotics Fa'23. May work better than connected everyone to desktop via SSH.
