How to remesh #11

Open Wangduu opened 3 years ago

Wangduu commented 3 years ago

Hello, I try to run a SRM simulation, but with the regession of the burning surface, the mesh cell volume became small. I try to use Rocrem moduel to remesh but can't find path to remeshing tools.

Rocrem was not robust and never meant to be used outside research. It has been removed from the project. Instead, you can try our Nemosys program for remeshing. It provides experimental support for remeshing.

@msafdari1234 Thanks for your reply , I'll try the Nemosys. Recently I encountered a new problem : the chamber pressure in my SRM simulation is about 10MPa higher than the zero-dimensional internal ballistic calculation and experimental results , I don't know what cause this . I wonder if you have any ideas for this problem. Looking forward to your reply , thank you.

Thanks for your feedback. The difference can originate from several reasons. Please note that 1d models always use simplifying assumptions. Similarly comparison against experimental results is an involved process, requiring a validation study (all boundary conditions and material properties should be carefully selected). If you like us to try your case, I suggest you provide you case input files and references here and we will try to investigate it.

@msafdari1234 This is a simple case , most of the parameters are set with reference to the ACM example case. The case input files: motor.zip The interior ballistic curve: internal ballistic

Hope you can find out where the problem is , thank you very much.

I double checked my input parameters, found that the value of R in Rocstar is different with the value in my interior ballistic code. I changed the value in my interior ballistic code, but the pressure in Rocstar results is still about 2MPa higher than interior ballistic prediction. And the mass-in is always a little higher than mass-out, as shown below. I don't know if this is normal. Graph2
