Better error handling and debug logging in some event handlers #66

Not all events are being logged, most notably GameAPI is not touched since it's rarely used.
Need to turn on the "Show debug messages" setting to see the new log messages. Takes effect immediately.
Something better will probably come in the future, maybe.
