Fire alarm peculiarities #21

Howdee,

I am trying to use the Fire button and switch on the alarm on the keypad. So press-hold the button, triggers an event and that sends a zwave command (135-0-14-1) to activate the alarm on the keypad (and it also triggers the fire alarm in the house). I also wanted to be able to reverse this. So when you press the Fire button again, it should turn off the alarm in the house and also on the keypad. And, as you mention in RingKeypadV2.md you have to set a mode on the keypad. So what I tried is set the mode based on Alarmo's mode. So if the keypad was disarmed and you activate the Fire state and you want to undo that, I reset the disarmed mode on the keypad.

Well, that kind of works. But what is weird that from then on things don't work well anymore. If I want to reactivate the Fire button it is as if it takes 10-20seconds before the keypad starts sending messages to HA so it will take so long before the alarm sounds again.

Have you seen that as well? It is strange that there is no way to turn off the Fire alarm irrelevant of the previous keypad state.

I'm puzzled 😉
