2 years ago This has already been implemented and will come out in our next beta of Imaginary Teleprompter, which should come out by the end of the month.
You should also know that Imaginary Teleprompter is now considered a legacy project. For the past year I've developed a new teleprompter program from scratch that bypasses all of Imaginary Teleprompter's architectural deficiencies and technical limitations. QPrompt, the new program, was written with productivity, ease of use, control accuracy, and smooth performance in mind. It works with studio teleprompters and tablet teleprompters, cellphones, and webcams. QPrompt is licensed under the General Public License 3, the same free license as Imaginary Teleprompter.
With regards to the future of Imaginary Teleprompter, the next release will be the last mayor release to come out, and it's purpose is to:
- Bring support for newer systems, such as Wayland on Linux and arm64 binaries for Apple's Mac computers.
- Incorporate functionality that was contributed by the community.
- Help transition users from Imaginary Teleprompter over to QPrompt.
With regards to keyboard remapping, QPrompt already has this functionality and Imaginary Teleprompter will too, once we start shipping those betas.
Several keyboard mappings are used in the world, and some are not keeping the 'wordstar diamond keys' in place. (HMI 40 years ago...). Please make these keys reassignable for the non-english users. Tks.
