text up & down functionality not working on left and right arrow key when press

Cuperino commented 2 years ago

Hello @shankarsh1,

In order to pinpoint the issue, I must know which systems are affected. Please indicate what operating system and version of Imaginary Teleprompter you are running. If you're running Imaginary Teleprompter on a web browser please indicate the browser and version of the web browser. Imaginary Teleprompter's version number can be found at the bottom of the main window on versions 2.4.0 and earlier. If you're running a development version of Imaginary Teleprompter, please indicate which branch or git commit you're using.

Imaginary Teleprompter 2.4.0 and earlier only uses the Up Arrow, Down Arrow, W, and S keys to control the prompter's velocity. The Left and Right arrow keys are used to reduce or increase font size respectively. Only in beta versions of Imaginary you can assign different keys, but none of the beta versions of Imaginary Teleprompter are currently being supported.

In order to better understand this issue, please describe your steps in high detail so I can replicate the issue.

Thank you for your feedback. I hope I can help.

P.S. I'm sorry. I originally wrote this reply thinking this issue was in relation with my new app, QPrompt. The previous answer is a re-write focused on Imaginary Teleprompter. QPrompt is a newer and more complete app than Imaginary Teleprompter. Here's my original answer regarding QPrompt:

Hello @shankarsh1,

In order to pinpoint the issue, I must know which systems are affected. Please indicate what operating system and version of QPrompt you are running. If you're running QPrompt on Linux, please also indicate your distribution, method of installation, version of Qt, and version of KDE frameworks; the last two can be found at QPrompt's About page. QPrompt's version number can also be found at the About page.

To correct the issue on your computer, open the main menu, go to Control Settings, then go to Keyboard Inputs. A popover titled "Key Bindings" will appear. Click on the button to the right of "Decrease velocity", then press the "Left arrow key" to set it, and click on the button to the right of "Increase velocity", then press the "Right arrow key" to set it.

Please let me know if this works for you. If not, please describe your steps in high detail so I can replicate the issue and attach a screenshot of your Key Bindings configuration.

Thank you for your feedback. I hope this helps.
