The main screen (not the prompter screen) is black (Mac) #31

Hello! I have an issue with Imaginary Teleprompter (which is an awesome software btw! :))

I'm on Mac (10.13.3 High Sierra), and whenever I click "Prompt It", the promper screen is 100% fine BUT the main screen (my feedback to read at the same time as the person in front of the cam), is black, like, totally black.

I have activated the option to prompt on both screen, "normal" for my feedback screen, "horizontal mirror" for the prompter.

What can I do to overcome this?

Thanks!

EDIT: Also when I click on "Prompt It", both screens "flip to the right" as if it changed workspace. I figured that if I press CTRL+1 (to switch to workspace 1), I can see the program prompting text, but then the prompter screen shows a white screen.

EDIT again: I just tried on a windows machine, no problemo

Hey @Oscuro87,

I see you closed the issue... Were you able to overcome this problem? We've been unable to replicate it because our MacOS' developer Mac broke and we've been unable to find proper adapters to connect the replacements to a second display.

Hello, Ty for the reply! :) No I wasn't able to fix the bug, the second display just couldn't display anything. I just went with the windows version 👍 Which works flawlessly btw, ty for that! Sorry for the close, it was unintended, I thought I closed another issue on another project I also reported an issue on... (never do anything without cafeine) I can still investigate the issue on my side too :)

A few months ago I tested on MacOS High Sierra and I couldn't replicate the issue... BTW, we just released an update, version 2.4. By upgrading our dependencies the issue might have gone away on its own. Would you mind testing again on MacOS and indicate which version you use for testing?

Cuperino commented 4 years ago

We couldn't replicate the issue with neither High Sierra nor Catalina. We think this likely only happens at a release of MacOS that's between those two.

I'm going to close the issue. Feel free to re-open or report a new issue if you encounter this problem again.
