There are unexpected brownouts in ICSPACE23 #66

This causes gaps between transmissions of several minutes. This is for ICSPACE23.

Figure_1 The Plot for ICSPACE22 on day 1 over EU. There is a lot more gaps in data. The only change from previous flight(ICSPACE21) in the code was to limit channels over US915, unrelated to anything over EU.

Figure_1 Plot for ICSPACE24. Lots of gaps between transmission. No clear clumping. But this was with smaller solar cells(19mm x 39mm vs 19mm x 52mm for previous flights). Recorded on 22 Jan 2021.

Its likely a power issue

Nothing can be done about it, except to reduce peak current consumption and having more sunlight.

ICSPACE23 and 24 had tilted solar cells, which contributes to the brownouts on each rotation. Earlier flights were held level
