Skill, Tool, and Language proficiencies.

Base skill and tool proficiency needs to be fixed. First the skill and tool proficiency are selected in this order. Second if you already have a proficiency in a skill or two from two sources you may choose another proficiency of the same kind. (skill or tool)

• Racial proficiencies. The Elves perception or Dwarves choice of artisan tool's from smith's tools, brewer's supplies, and mason's tool count as racial proficiencies.
• Class proficiencies. The class you select determines the amount of skills you can choose; 2-4 depending on class bards are the most flexible of course, as well as which ones. They also provide tool proficiencies of their own. And a language proficiency in the case of druids and rogues.
• Subclass. Certain sub classes grant additional proficiencies: College of Lore bards get three additional skills at level 3 for example.
• Background. Your background determines your additional starting skill and tool proficiencies but see the second note above.
