In Europeana, Cultural Heritage Objects and media files which represent them, are connected through aggregations.
We have different opportunities for the connection of the CHO Proxy and their media files with Cidoc CRM or extensions.
we use the crmdig extension, it offers a D1 Digital Object class class, that would appropriately represent the digital image/ audio/ video files that are linked in Europeana. crmdig is a bit outdated and there are plans to make an update for the extension (as discussed here. Rights for digital objects could be appended like in the SARI documentation which also uses D1 Digital Object Class ( Schema ).

We split the media files in audio and image files and model the audio files (there are not that many anyway) as Information Objects and the digital images as visual items.
