This is one of the most valuable GitHub ideas I've seen in a while... I love this submission!
Far too many times do the "shit tier/grinder jobs" feel like you cannot RP around them because for you to make money, players have to alienate themselves from others. There 100% should be a direct incentive for people to do these kinds of jobs together, and I do feel the way you outlined the /createcrew command with percentage price buffs fits well. The amount of value this would add overall, I'm not sure you can quantify.
An addition like this would be hugely impactful. Not only does it add value to existing players. But, as a new player, it would influence people to seek interaction with you and vice versa. I feel the impact on player retention overall in the onboarding process of the server may be huge. Instead of playing solo, getting burned out, not making friends, and quitting early on. New players would have a higher chance to make friends and have more reasons to stay.
Assurance: Yes mate
Summary: Add the addition of a /createcrew or similar system that depending on what job you have, allows you to run jobs with other people.
For example:
If I was a Trucker I would be able to create a crew with one other player. This player would then join me on my transport runs and as long as they were inside of my truck at the end (or something of the sort in order to disallow abuse) they would get paid the same amount as me for completing the job.
If I was running Trash I would be able to create a crew with max three other players (or however many players can go inside/outside of that new trash truck) and when I (the creator of the crew) got a trash truck job all other people in my crew would get the same location. We would all travel in the truck to the assigned location and all need to collect a bag from each dumpsters/bins we are given (alternatively there would be 4 bags in there and 1 person could collect 4 or 2 people could collect 2 in order to stop people trolling or something). Once our run is done all players would need to be inside the trash truck when handing it back into the trash location and then all players would get paid the same plus a bonus depending on how many you have on your crew.
If you are running Delivery then you would be able to create a crew with one other player. The person who created the crew would take out the truck and both players would need to go to the same location but the second player would get another door near where the crew creator is given (or something along those lines). Both players would have the same amount of packages to deliver but would not have the exact same locations at the same time but would still be in the same area). Both players would need to be inside of the truck when handing it in and both get paid the same.
Reason: My thought process with this is to bring RP back to these jobs. Having the ability to run these jobs with other players would allow people to roleplay while they are trying to get money or other items which drop from these places. I have recently been running these jobs find that it really pulls me out of RP when I want to do these jobs. If I want to RP with others while doing this job I have to just RP over my radio or have people in my truck/car/etc but then they aren't making any money if they need cash aswell. If we had the ability to run these jobs together I feel like a lot more RP oppertunities would open up and also help to combat a sort of grinding stigma that hovers around wanting to do these jobs.
The bonus pay I was thinking for trash truck was 10% per extra player you have (max of 30%), that would give players an insentive to do these jobs with people they don't know in order to make a bit of extra cash. Creating RP through just making money.
I'm sorry if this is written in a confusing way, I am happy to have a converstaion about this if you're interested.
