This Server is Roleplay Server Not a PVP server every player should focus on roleplay not on gunplay and not always think about Wins/Losses in RP.

That's why i came up with an idea that will make gun fights a bit tough cause each player need to think about before shooting a gun and everything stays same.

But the mechanics it self will make a big impact and make equality between all players and they must start think about roleplay over PVP

you can make gun mags to buy able from ammo store for legal guns for illegal guns make it a drop in different jobs or make it craftable also you can drop the legal mags

or atleast make ammo to get stored inside weapons instead of character

I like this idea it will defo help out ems & bcfd when it comes to dealing with gsw's people might actually get shotless as well. Also like the fact it will be more roleplay focused as well.

We already restricted the maximum amount of ammo one person is able to carry. Back in the days you used to be able to carry infinite amounts of ammo. While i like the general idea of physicalized ammo, the way i'd implement it would be a lot less agressive since we want to reduce shootouts but also not fully remove them. Shootouts are a big part of roleplay especially criminal and gang roleplay so making it close to impossible to carry enough ammo for a shootout would hurt roleplay more than it would benefit it.

However since this would most likely require a rewrite of our ammo system to make work, it probably wont be done too soon

So my idea on how to do this would be:

  • You don't have to press R to reload everytime cause its gonna get old rq
  • You have magazines as items
  • Each gun "remembers" how much ammo it had in its magazine
  • When manually reloading too early you would get a half empty magazine item
  • It would basically work the same as now but instead of a magical ammo pouch you would have actual mag items in your inventory
  • Every time you reload it would use one of the mag items in your inventory automatically and if said mag is half empty your gun would also only have hald the bullets till you put a fresh mag in
  • Ammo would still be grouped into pistol, smg, rifle and shotgun not with each individual gun having its own mag type (would be impossible to manage)
  • Making mags would be relatively easy to not make it more difficult than it has to be

That would also be a great way, but here you will provide empty mags to players so they can refill it using actual ammo or even possible to fill half magazine, add damage in magazine after a certain period of use the item will get decayed, if you use damage mag then it will randomly start stop fire of that gun for certain period like forced safety on and off on that gun until you reload with fresh non completely damage mag

I've got this idea after playing ready or not I always switch to full mag when in combat and then use low ammo magazine for small threats

Also I forgot to mention remove extended mag attachment and make extended mag item and people can choose like they can take 5 extended mags full of ammo with 3 smaller mags like that if that's ok
