What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. http://vis.stanford.edu/protovis/ex/zoom.html
2. Click the context area outside the drag bar
3. Try to drag the bar

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The focus area is not rendered. The user should not be allowed to drag empty 
bars.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Linux
