Inconsistency in Calorie Unit Labeling #2

Open IncyBot opened 2 months ago

IncyBot commented 2 months ago

Description: There is an inconsistency in the labeling of calorie units throughout the ActiveEdge application. In various parts of the user interface and user guide, the units for calories are sometimes referred to as "kcal" and other times as "cal." The application inconsistently switches between "kcal" and "cal," which may lead to misunderstandings about the amounts being logged or goals being set.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open the user guide or help command outputs.
  2. Observe the descriptions and examples provided for logging meals, viewing daily calorie intakes, and setting goals.
  3. Note the variations in the terminology used for calorie units (e.g., kcal vs. cal).

Team's Response

Thank you for raising this. We have forgotten to change cal from kcal in a few places and we accept that raises some inconsistency. However, this definietly is not a medium bug.

Also it is a known fact that the word calories and kCal are used interchangeably which leads to a handful of occasions where cal is mistakenly put instead of kCal.

We feel this could be changed to a very low level bug.
