Issue Description

I have found several errors in this file

Typos
Information about how to check a checkbox is given after a series of checkboxes (can trouble a new contributor)
Linting issues and warnings(wrong heading heirarchy, other markdown-lint generated warnings

I would like to work on this issue. Thanks.

Not only is there a typo here, this information should be displayed earlier.
