Adding Group Leaders to Group Page - Not Allowing Client Selection and/or Save #58

In the past I was able to add one or more users to Group Leader to a Group using the Groups page.

The workflow I followed is:

  1. Change the Users role to Group Leader for both Site and Community roles in "Users"
  2. Specify Local Group in "Users"
  3. Save, then go to Local Groups in Group Pod
  4. Add the users to the "Group Leader" field in "Groups"

Everything works, except for Step 4. There is some inconsistency -- some users I am able to add (their name will appear briefly in "Leader" but then will not save/

Other users can not be added, even if I select them. The name won't appear.

Has this workflow changed over the last few weeks?

The reason for the urgency is that it is preventing us from being able to get groups up in running, with no leaders.

@howardstevens -- It looks like this is working now. I am able to save Group Leaders to both Local and Topic groups. Thank you!

That is great news. I have been working on this all night, but I didn't think that I fixed it yet.

@howardstevens -- Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unable to add suzanne@drsburger.com and rbezark@optonline.net to the Westchester Citizen Therapists Local Group. I wonder if the Group record is corrupt. It doesn't seem to accept a value in the Group Leader field. Should I delete the group and start again?

Howard to continue to review, and possibly create a page that shows the members for a group.

There is now a menu item--for Adminstrators--to manage group leaders. You can promote a group member to a leader, and demote current leaders back to members. First, the person must be a member of the group--that can be achieved with the Manage Pending Members page.
